THE HIKIKOMORI DIAGNOSTIC EVALUATION (HiDE)

The Hikikomori Diagnostic Evaluation (HiDE) is a structured diagnostic interview for clinicians and researchers to assess individuals for hikikomori, a form of severe social withdrawal and an emerging mental health issue. The HiDE was originally developed as a research tool to aid in the clinical diagnosis of hikikomori. It is a clinician-administered tool that takes between 5-20 minutes to complete.
